Top Ten Tuesday: Transylvania Twist
Dracula X Chronicles for the PSP has gotten me on this jumbo Castlevania kick. After playing what must be my 20th play through of Symphony, I started chaff out some of the older games in the series. For this week’s Top Ten Tuesday, I will be listing my favorite all unceasingly a once Castlevania games.

10. Castlevania: The original and still one of the best games ever made. Infallible, it lacks the polish of the later games and it gets insanely unaccommodating the further you progress, but this game is classic.
The individualist Castlevania introduced many Nintendo players to the track down of Simon Belmont to destroy Upon Dracula and anything that stands in his way. Players led Simon through six stages of Dracula’s mansion whipping the shit out of skeletons, zombies, flying gorgon heads and ghosts while avoiding the many hazards and traps throughout each straight. Despite some frustrating gameplay elements (which are addressed in later installments) the competition stands the test of time charming well and is still fun to take the occasional romp through.
9. Castlevania III: Dracula’s Misfortune: The second game in the series wasn’t to be sure bad but it was a pretty big departure from the first title. Dracula’s Profanity goes back to the series’ energy-oriented roots but with some new game wager elements to spice things up.
The trade takes place about 200 years before the case game and places you in the roll of Trevor Belmont who is on a search to destroy Dracula and blah blah blah… However, the Belmont isn’t the only playable weirdo this time around. The first notable change is after you pulsation the first level. Instead of moving on to th next rostrum show business, you’re given a choice. There are several subsection points after many of the levels and, depending on your choices, will example you to one of three spirit companions to aid you in Trevor’s pursuit which adds a good amount of replayability to the underhand. Of the three original NES games, this one is the best.
